Marcella Hazan's Tomato Sauce To Be Sold In Stores, Hopefully
If you haven't heard of Marcella Hazan's simple, yet brilliant tomato sauce, this here is going to change your life for the better. Hazan, the famed cookbook author who changed the way America thought about Italian food, is best known for how she cooked her tomato sauce with nothing more than onions and butter.
Don't let the simplicity fool you, this sauce is good. Like, "don't need, don't want no other red sauce but Hazan's sauce" good. Well, lucky for all of us it is so simple to make. And maybe even luckier is that Marcella's son, Giuliano has hopes to jar and sell his mother's sauce in stores near you.
Though the recipe is a simple one, being able to pick up a jar at the store for emergencies is a pretty great option. The project is starting as a kickstarter campaign, of course. Giuliano hopes to raise just shy of $50,000 dollars to start ramping up production in time for the Fancy Food Show in New York this coming June.
