Megyn Kelly And Sheryl Sandberg Say Men Who Do Laundry Get 'More Action'
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and author of Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, joined Fox News' Megyn Kelly Thursday night to discuss her new initiative, #LeanInTogether.
While Sandberg has long lobbied for women's empowerment in the workplace, in an op-ed for The New York Times this week, she and Give and Take author Adam Grant explained how they hope to get men involved in the movement. After outlining the advantages of hiring more women in business, the piece went on to state that couples who evenly share house work lead more active sex lives.
"Couples who share chores equally have more sex. As the researchers Constance T. Gager and Scott T. Yabiku put it, men and women who work hard play hard," the op-ed reads. "A man who heard this was asked by his wife one night to do a load of laundry. He picked up the basket and asked hopefully, 'Is this Lean In laundry?' Choreplay is real."
Kelly agreed that the concept of "choreplay" sounded like a wise plan.
"I love that. I think that's fantastic," Kelly said. "I mean, who wouldn't push for more equality if they knew they were going to have a happier wife, healthier children and more action? We've been selling it all wrong in the past."
"More action, alright? That’s all you need to know guys," she continued, giving a thumbs up. "Do some laundry.”
